THE Support Center for Academic Tests and Quality Control Its function is to monitor the process leading to the marking of the respective public tests, as well as to act as secretary for the aforementioned acts, arrange for the archiving of documentation and provide the elements for the issuance of diplomas and certificates.
As a preliminary work, a detailed analysis of the texts is carried out, in order to detect possible coincidences with texts not properly referenced or even cases of plagiarism. It is also urgent to verify the compliance of dissertations, theses and reports with the legal and regulatory norms in force, from a formal and methodological point of view. If lapses or irregularities are identified, supervisors and candidates are duly informed, so that what is necessary can be corrected and a corrected version returned to the Support Center. If everything is in order, and attested by statements from the supervisors and the coordinator of the aforementioned Core, the process continues its cycle, entering the stage of holding public tests.
