The Autonomous University of Lisbon will be one of the institutions that will host the XVIII International Congress of the Association of Historians of Communication, in September this year.
With the theme “History, Communication and Memory”, this congress intends to contribute to the debate on the production of collective memory in the Ibero-American space and to promote the search and analysis of fair memory policies. This includes the plural and inclusive study of movements and social actors, media representations, private and public archives, musealizations and other material and discursive constructions.
Autónoma joins the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, as institutions that host this event, in an alliance that favors a more dynamic, broad and enriching debate. The congress will take place on the 14th of September at Colégio Almada Negreiros, on the Campolide campus of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and, on the 15th, at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, at the Palácio dos Condes de Redondo.
This will be the 18th edition of the congress of Association of Communication Historians, one of the main events promoting the debate in this area in Iberia.
