Ours is a technology-based society. The technologies we create, as well as their application at scale (engineering), are made possible in large part by the most fundamental activity of science, through which we increase our knowledge of the world around us. Surprisingly, mathematics is a language that allows expressing and explaining much of this knowledge.
This session addresses the theme of mathematics as a language of the natural world, approaching examples, namely, from physics, biology, and computation.
