On the 19th and 20th of June 2023, Professors Luis Tomé – Director of the Department of International Relations at the Autonomous University of Lisbon and of OBSERVARE-Observatory of External Relations – and Nancy Elena Ferreira Gomes – Professor at UAL and Director of the FUNIBER Delegation in Portugal – visited the European University of the Atlantic/UNEATLANTICO, in Santander-Spain, accompanied by Dr. Marta Escolà, International Director of FUNIBER, where they were received by the Rector, Professor Rubén Calderón; the Vice-Rector for International Relations and General Secretary, Professor Roberto Ruiz; the Director of the International Relations Office, Professor Juan Luis Vidal; the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Silvia Aparicio; and the Director of Institutional Relations, Professor Elena Palacio. During the two days of work meetings and continuing an inter-institutional relationship within the scope of the Collaboration Protocol between UAL and UNEATLANTICO, signed on January 25th of this year, several topics were addressed, including the creation of joint inter-university courses in the areas of International Relations, Engineering and Sports; joint participation in European training consortia; joint promotion of distance learning courses (EAD); mutual recognition of courses and ECTS; co-editing and co-organizing conferences, workshops and other partnership activities; and inter-Chair collaboration.
