The public sector performs important tasks of allocating and redistributing resources in society, so it needs to have money for this purpose. Thus, the supervision and control of Public Accounts are fundamental and essential objectives. In this follow-up, the Court of Auditors, whose origin dates back to 1389, with the mission of inspecting the legality and regularity of public revenues and expenditures, contributing to the sustainable development of public finances.
