
Graduated in Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon and PhD in Psychology from the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurè.
He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
He is one of the founders of the Portuguese Order of Psychologists and between April 2010 and December 2016 he was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of this Order.
He was an Advisor to the National Mental Health Council from 2010 to 2019.
At the invitation of the General Directorate of Health, he was part of the Expert Group that prepared Technical Guide No. 3 “Health surveillance of workers exposed to psychosocial risk factors in the workplace” from 10.2018 to 9.2021
From March to November 2022, he was an expert in the Delphi Group: “Assessment of psychosocial risk in Occupational Health” of the DGS National Occupational Health Program.
At the invitation of the Honourable Secretary of State for Labour, Dr. Miguel Fontes, he has been a member of the Commission for the preparation of the Green Paper on the Future of Safety and Health at Work since 13/7/23.
Specialist in Work, Social and Organizational Psychology and in Occupational Health Psychology by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists.
He is a founding member of the Portuguese Observatory of Psychosocial Risk Factors – Popsy@Work.
He is the coordinator and one of the authors of the book “Assessing, Intervening and Preventing Psychosocial Risks”, published in 2023 by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists.
