He is an assistant professor at the Department of Sciences and Technologies at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. He obtained a doctorate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in Electrical Machines, at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Robotics, autonomous systems and production systems are some of the most relevant topics of his interest.
