Pedro Matos is a University Professor in the Department of Engineering and Computer Science and Management in Project Management and Management Control.
He completed his degree in Management in 1987, his master's degree in Leadership in 1999 and his doctorate in International Economics in 2013, at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
He was CEO, Commercial Director and Financial Director of Multinationals, Hydro Building Systems, Portuga Telecom Wi-Fi, Browning, Scottish Union Insurance Life (BPI Group), Air Portugal Tours (TAP).
Since 2022, he has been a certified facilitator for Amazon France and Amazon España on the topics of Leadership and Strategic Changes, and a facilitator and consultant since 2012 for Bosch España, Bosch Latin America and Bosch Portugal on the topics of Management of New Business Opportunities and Negotiation of Purchases and Sales.
Consultant and Trainer for McDonalds, Maersk, Procter & Gamble, Carrier, Shell/Vivo Energy, he has traveled in person to some countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa where he works closely with executives, supporting them in improving their skills in Leadership, teamwork, communication and connection with the local media.
He is also a director of the Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he conducts business with the 22 countries of the Arab League, as well as a former financial director (treasurer) of the American Club of Lisbon.
He supervises doctoral theses and master's dissertations at several Portuguese and Spanish universities, as well as teaching or having taught at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in the Master's Degree in Law in Leadership, at ISCTE Business School in the areas of International Management, Economic Growth Strategies and Human Resources Management, at the Universidad Europea de Madrid in the area of Marketing Management, at the Universidade Europeia de Lisboa in the Masters Degrees in Digital Marketing, Market Leadership, International Business Strategies.
He actively participates in scientific production groups at ISPIM, International Society for Professional Innovation Management, where he has been a researcher since 2016, in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, having been invited to participate in a program to create 500 new start-ups in Romania at the invitation of the European Union.
Ambassador for Sports Ethics since 2012, appointed by the Government of Passos Coelho and reappointed by subsequent governments, he regularly participates as a member and jury in ethics competitions and participates as an incentive ethics speaker at meetings of companies and market sectors.
