Researcher with participation in lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops, papers, linked to the themes: tourism; active tourism; sport; nature sport, architectural barriers; safety and risk management in nature sports; high organizational performance in nature sport management; nature sports – emergence of new cultures, mentalities and lifestyles; optimization and management of sports spaces; sports tourism – contributions to the design of an archetype of sports equipment; sport management; nature sports and architectural barriers, the case of the protected and classified areas of the Algarve; workshop pilot action of the B-Learning Course NATUR. For twenty-three years he also worked as a senior technician at the Instituto Conservação da Natureza (ICNF). Having also carried out for four years, as a Service Committee, the activity of Head of Division of the Port and Maritime Transport Institute (IPTM) – Infrastructure and Heritage Department of the Ports Delegation of the Ports Center of Figueira da Foz, Nazaré and Peniche – of the Port and Maritime Transport Institute – having as its mission the Management of the Public Maritime Domain (DPM) of the Center Delegation, the coordination of the IPTM works service – Center Delegation, namely: interventions in the domain area, embankments, marina, pier commercial and related areas; the coordination of the property management service of the IPTM – Delegação Centro, namely with regard to licensing, permits and licenses: buildings in private areas, sporting activities and events, fairs, recreational and leisure activities, including water sports in marine areas, ( surfing championships – Cabedelo, sailing, rowing, motorized paragliding, etc.); coordination of the general technical support service and supervision of works at (IPTM) – Figueira da Foz, namely: definition of premises and areas for events, fairs and sports and leisure activities.
