
Patrícia Cardoso Dias, PhD in Law from the Autonomous University of Lisbon “Luís de Camões”, specializing in Legal Sciences; Master in Law from the Autonomous University of Lisbon “Luís de Camões”, with the public defense of the topic subordinate to voluntary representation in health care matters, “Advance Directives of Will: The Non-Transferability of the Exercise of Personality Rights and the Appointment of a Health Care Attorney”. She received the Merit Scholarship – Autonomous University of Lisbon “Luís de Camões” for exceptional performance demonstrated by an average of 18 points in the 2nd year of the Master in Law.
She is a guest professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa “Luís de Camões”, where she teaches the curricular units of General Theory of Civil Law I and II, Family Law and Succession Law of the degree course in Law, as well as the curricular unit of Law in Health and Bioethics in the Bachelor's degree in Administration of Health Units. He taught the curricular unit of the Master's in Law course, “Methodology of Legal Research”.
The preferred fields of practice and research are Civil Law, Anti-Discrimination Law (focus on Gender Studies), Health Law, Medical Law, Law and End of Life and Personality Rights.
She has participated in more than 30 conferences and lectures as a speaker (national and international) and is the author of articles and book chapters in her specialty areas.
Guest professor on the master's course in Forensic Psychology at ISPA, where she teaches the curricular unit “Law and the Justice System”.
