He has a degree in Communication Sciences from UAL, a postgraduate degree in Hospital Administration from the National School of Public Health, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ENSP – UNL) and a postgraduate degree in Quality Management in Health from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, Technical University of Lisbon (ISEG – UTL)

Hospital Administrator, he has held several positions in the area of Quality in Health, namely in the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), simultaneously with the Agencia de Calidad Sanitaria de Andalucia in Spain (ACSA) and in the Hospital Prof. Dr. Fernando Fonseca, in the Quality Department and currently in the Logistics Department. He is an auditor of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and the Health Accreditation Model of CHKS – Caspe Healthcare Knowledge Systems.

He has been a professor of Quality Management in Health at UAL since the 2015-2016 academic year.

His favorite extra-professional activities are reading, music, sailing, karate and photography.
