He holds a PhD (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, UK (in 2008). Previously, he obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics (2003) and a Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (1999), both at Instituto Superior Técnico.
He has been assistant professor of Mathematics at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa since 2008.
His past research interests in the area of Dynamical Systems were: beta-transformations, symbolic dynamics and torus automorphisms.
Currently, within the scope of his teaching activity at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, he is mainly interested in Applied Mathematics to Economics and Management.
He is a member of the Portuguese Mathematics Society and a regular participant in the national meetings organized by it.
