Graduated in Law and Master in Communication Sciences from the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. Postgraduate in Communication Law, by the Legal Institute of Communication, University of Coimbra.

He has a Diploma of Advanced Studies in the Doctoral course in Journalism III, from the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid.

She was the coordinator of postgraduate courses and projects in Communication Sciences at UAL, where she has been teaching since 1990 and, since 2000, at the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Internal Security.

As a journalist, he started on the radio, went through RTP and the written press.

She was a member of the Board of the Journalists Union and a member of the Journalists Club.

Representative of Freelance Journalists from the Iberian Peninsula at FEJ – European Federation of Journalists, and member of FIJ – International Federation of Journalists.

She is also a member of the World Media Association, Association of Portuguese Women Jurists, of the Portuguese Society of Authors and Reporters Sans Frontiéres.
