Jose Luis Uribe Ortiz (1979) is Architect for the School of Architecture at the University of Talca (Chile, 2007) and Master in Theory and Practice of the Architecture Project for the ETSAB UPC (2010, Spain). He is the author of the books “A contracorrente” (Hatje Cantz, Germany, 2016) and “Talca, Cuestion de Educacion” (Editorial Arquine, Mexico, 2013) for which he obtained the VIII Premio Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (Argentina, 2014) ) and the Architectural Book Awards (Germany, 2014). He was curator of “A contracorrente” Pabellón de Chile in the exhibition of the XVI International Biennial of Architecture of Venice 2016 (Italy). He has been a juror at the IX Iberoamerican Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (Brazil, 2016) and has lectured at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (EEUU, 2015), Escola da Cidade (Brazil, 2015) and RecyclArt (Belgium, 2014) , among others.
