On February 14, 2023, a collaboration protocol was signed between the Department of Law of the Autonomous University of Lisbon and the Instituto de Apoio à Criança, which aims to object of regulation of the collaboration of the parties within the scope of the Campaign “Not one more spanking”, which aims to combat violence against children, with particular focus on corporal punishment.
The Child Support Institute will mobilize the necessary means and resources to carry out the purpose of the agreement, making available to Autónoma the contents developed within the scope of the campaign “Not one more spanking”; as well as collaborating with Autónoma in the development of projects, studies and actions of common interest, namely aimed at promoting the development of knowledge on the subject of violence against children.
The Autonomous University of Lisbon will undertake to support, at all times, the “Not one more spanking” campaign; promoting through its communication channels, including its social networks, the contents to be made available by the Child Support Institute. The parties will also carry out workshops, conferences, seminars and other initiatives that contribute to the dissemination of results or ideas of common interest, carrying out joint research projects and cooperation actions that result from prior analysis and validation by both parties.
