The IV Luso-Brazilian Congress of Comparative Constitutional Law will have, alongside it, the launch of the work 'Portuguese and Brazilian constitutional law in the scope of social pacification', following the work of the Luso-Brazilian congresses of comparative constitutional law and the work 'Portuguese and Brazilian constitutional law in contemporary times', published in 2018. Congresses and books are the result of joint actions by the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, the Centro Universitário Católica de Santa Catarina and the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, with the support of the Instituto Universitário from Rio de Janeiro. The book was carefully coordinated by professors Pedro Trovão do Rosário, Denise Hammerschmidt and Luciene Dal Ri, and organized by professors Luiz Carlos Avila Junior, Fernando de Paula G. Ferreira and Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo, with public support from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through the UAL's Center for Research and Development in Legal Sciences Ratio Legis, promoting the approach of constitutional law, under the focus of social pacification. The book is composed of chapters written by Brazilian, Portuguese, German and Spanish professors and researchers, totaling eight higher education institutions and seven master's and doctoral programs in the legal field. The speakers, co-authors of the work, will focus on the respective chapters, as dealt with in the collective work.
