On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic situation. The world has not been the same since then. Although the pandemic is not completely resolved, after two years, it is already possible to analyze the impacts at an international level. In this open class, professors from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and Universidade Lusófona do Porto analyze these impacts, especially looking at global governance and multilateralism. Given the severity of the pandemic, have institutions and States been up to the task? Has the pandemic mainly given rise to cooperation or competition between States? These and other issues will be addressed by the speakers, who will also analyze the impact of Russia's war in Ukraine on governance and multilateralism.
