Description: The PBS 39/WLVT summer 2023 intern will work in support of our local news
website, https://www.lehighvalleynews.com. The intern will produce digital content and
collaborate with reporters and editors to deliver content to the site. That may involve writing
stories, assisting in managing workflow to the site, and supporting producers and editors
throughout the day. Because we recognize internals may have varied media/communications
interests, we want to provide exposure to other parts of our operations, too. That includes
radio and television production, and social media. We will do our best to provide a broad range
of experiences and tailor work to the intern's interests. The best candidate is a news consumer
who has a passion for learning, works well with others and wants to be immersed in a
community-based American newsgathering operation.
This is a non-paid internship in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA.
*The start of the internship is late May/early June, 2023. Followed by the 5-week immersive GV
2023 program at Lehigh University (6/24 – 7/29). The PBS 30/WLVT internship will resume on
July 31, 2023 and will end in late September.
*Internship dates are flexible, and will not interfere with participation in GV 2023 (6/24 – 7/29
