The exhibition, ILO-Portugal. Dynamics of a Relationship, was organized to celebrate the centenary of the International Labour Organization (2019) and chronicles the relationship between Portugal, as a founding member state, and the ILO. The eight panels that are part of the exhibition, as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of April 25, illustrate this relationship through normative activity (ratification of conventions); participation in international labor conferences; technical cooperation activities, studies and the impact on national legislation and policies. Three Panels are dedicated to the period of the Estado Novo (1934 to 1974) and three Panels are dedicated to the consolidation of labor democracy (1974 to 2019). Two complementary thematic Panels are also included, one on normative activity and one on technical cooperation.

Cristina Rodrigues
Cristina Rodrigues (1966) has a degree in Law (U. Católica), a master's degree in Sociology of Work and Employment (ISCTE), and a PhD in Sociology of State, Law and Administration (U. Coimbra). She is a researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Professionally, she has mainly dealt with issues of work and employment, having held several management positions at the IEFP. She currently coordinates the Appeals Committee (IEFP).
As an author or co-author, she has published several works, including: Working in Portugal 1910-1933 (2008); Portugal and the ILO – 1933-1974 (2013); UGT in the History of the Portuguese Trade Union Movement 1970-1990 (2013); Sociology of Work – a deeper look (2014); UGT in the History of the Portuguese Trade Union Movement 1990-2010 (2017); Economy and Society – Studies in honor of JM Brandão de Brito (2019); The sixties – two governments, different public policies? (2020); Sitava – a trade union project with history (2020); Social Concertation in Portugal and the role of the UGT (2023); Portugal and the ILO, eloignement or proximity? Eduardo Grace
Eduardo Graça holds a degree in Business Organization and Management from the Instituto Superior de Economia (ISE) of the University of Lisbon. Among other positions, he has served as President of INATEL and INSCOOP and, since 19 February 2010, has been President of the Board of Directors of the António Sérgio Cooperative for the Social Economy (CASES).
Victor Moura Pinheiro
Vítor Moura Pinheiro is a Talent Manager with experience in Project Management and Team Leadership. He currently works as an SME Mentor in Nova SBE’s Voice Leadership Initiative, supporting the development of business leadership in small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2024, he was appointed by Socieux+ as Expert and Co-author of the National Entrepreneurship Strategy for São Tomé and Príncipe (2024-2030), contributing to the strengthening of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. Also in 2024, he collaborated on the elaboration of the National Strategy for Signaling Young NEETs, in partnership with the ILO and the European Commission, and is a co-author of the ILO’s landmark publication, “ILO and Portugal – 100 years of History”.
Mafalda Trunk
Mafalda Troncho has a degree in Business Management from the University of Évora, with a Master's degree in Labour Sciences from ISCTE. Since 15 June 2009, she has been Director of the ILO Office for Portugal (ILO-Lisbon).
She has worked with the Office since its opening in 2003, having worked as an Associate Expert between October 2005 and June 2009.
Before that, he worked at the Social Security Institute, the Alentejo Foundation and the EPRAL Professional School, where he began his professional career.
She was a member of the Assembly of the Republic in the VII and VIII legislatures.
