António da Silva Santos, born on 18 November 1996, in Santa Maria da Feira.

At an academic level, in 1997, he completed a degree in Applied Mathematics – Computer Science Branch at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. In 2001 he completed a postgraduate degree in Informatics at Universidade Portucalense, in 2002 he completed the DEA in Advanced Mathematical Techniques and Applications at the University of Vigo, Spain, and in 2006 he completed a PhD in Advanced Mathematics and Applications at the same university. Later, in 2010, he completed the Master in Statistical Techniques from which he began his PhD in Statistics and Operational Research and which he dropped out in 2015.

At a professional level, he worked at the Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário, Crl., between 1997 and 2014, where he became coordinating professor without aggregation, and where he held a teaching position in the areas of Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics and Research Methodology, also at In the same institution, he was part of: the scientific and pedagogical council, manager of the technology office for Distance Learning, for the Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Ave, collaborator on the pedagogical survey application committee and coordinator of this group in the analysis of the results, member of the Monitoring Committee of students who enter with more than 23 years and supervisor of several master's theses, and co-supervisor in the statistics part of theses: Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral. He collaborated with the Escola Superior de Enfermagem da Cruz Vermelha de Oliveira de Azeméis as a guest professor where he taught the curricular unit of Biostatistics that he accumulated with the function of administrator of ICT's, between 2002 and 2007. From 2014 to 2019 he worked in several companies as a freelancer in several European countries, in the areas of statistical and mathematical consultancy, as well as 3D modelling. Since September 2019, he has been associated with the Institute of Advanced Technologies, where he teaches the curricular units of: Cryptography, Basics of Statistical Probability, Mathematics II and Quantitative Methods II. Finally, since October 2021, he has collaborated with the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, where he teaches the curricular unit of Statistics I.
