During the month of June, the Portuguese League Against Cancer highlights Cancer Survivors, who, in Portugal, number more than half a million!

On the 1st Sunday of June, International Cancer Survivor's Day was celebrated, a day to celebrate with those who beat this disease, to give hope to those who continue to fight, without ever forgetting those who left.

The numbers speak for themselves: cancer survival (5 years) in Portugal is above the European Union average and everything indicates that this number will continue to grow in the near future.

The Portuguese League Against Cancer promotes the international initiative “A Day for Life”, which represents the hope that those who have been taken by cancer will not be forgotten, that those who are fighting will be supported and that one day cancer will be defeated!
