Dear fellow teacher,
We invite you to participate in a workshop online on “Active and participatory methodologies” that will take place during the month of July, starting on Monday the 1st.
This workshop is organized by the pedagogical innovation team of Projeto Ambição – a partnership between UAL and ESE João de Deus – in response to needs expressed by teachers in the survey carried out last December and January.
The methodology followed in this workshop was developed with the support of Miles in the Sky – an operator specialized in distance teaching and learning on whose platform e-learning the workshop will be hosted – and mainly involves activities to be carried out in asynchronous mode (not in person) structured in 4 successive “missions” to be completed in as many weeks and implying the execution of a “deliverable” (eg a lesson plan – see. forward). We estimate that each mission (1 week) requires a maximum of 6-7 hours of asynchronous individual work.
Another important element of this methodology is “peer review” or constructive feedback between participants, with the aim of promoting the exchange of ideas and promoting collaborative learning.
Finally, the beginning or end of each mission will be marked by a 90-minute synchronous class – in person at the beginning and end, online in the intervening weeks – for presentation and discussion of the “deliverables” and reciprocal feedback between participants. The definitive dates and times of these synchronous classes will be fixed after knowing the participants and after consulting them.
