CONFERENCE CYCLE ON THURSDAYS | CHILDREN AND THE DIGITAL WORLD – WHAT RIGHTS?

20 Mar 2025 - 18:30

Room 18

The presence of children and young people in the digital world is inevitable in a world where a significant proportion of contacts and information have come to focus on this environment. Some of the risks of the “real” world are heightened in the “digital” world, but this environment also represents an opportunity for expressing one’s personality and obtaining unique information. More than protecting children and young people from the internet, it is important to protect them on the internet, always safeguarding their right to participate and, in their interactions with others, to preserve the degree of autonomy necessary for healthy development. It is therefore important to know how the rights to protection, provision and protection that children and young people are entitled to can be reconciled in the digital world.
