Two hundred years ago, Brazil entered the era of modern constitutionalism, perfecting its legal system in accordance with the Enlightenment indications of human progress and scientific development of society, both dedicated to the interpretation of fundamental freedom, in which laws gained prominence. Two centuries later, we intend to discuss the historical roots of this phenomenon from a multidisciplinary perspective focused on Law as a reference Science, taking into account the reciprocal influences exchanged with Portuguese Constitutional Law in accordance with the values of its own constitutionalism.
