Researchers who produce scientific work look for effective ways to understand the complex relationships between variables in their data. Multiple regression models are being replaced by Structural Equation Models to help identify relationships between variables through data collected in samples. But their use is not just limited to academic research, they can be applied to business, social sciences and others, as they offer a very strong structure that allows you to identify how different factors interact and influence certain results.
