CONFERENCE CYCLE | THE 2030 AGENDA AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF ORGANIZATIONS, WORK AND HUMAN RESOURCES (POTRH)

25 Jan 2024 - 18:30

Auditorium 1

online

This conference will present the interactions between the Psychology of Organizations, Work and Human Resources (POTRH) and sustainability, in particular, its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After a brief introduction, the presentation will be divided into three parts: (a) the case/example of Humanitarian Work Psychology (HWP) based on its approach to eradicating poverty and hunger (Millennium Development Goal, MDG 1); (b) studies and interventions to promote Decent Work (SDG8), in particular the role of POTRH psychologists in its promotion; and, finally (c) the possible actions and others already triggered by the POTRH psychologist in his/her scope of work (interventions at the micro and meso-level of analysis) to contribute to the resolution of social problems (macro-level of analysis). In short, how we can be a more conscious mini-piece in a seemingly chaotic maxi-mechanism, or even, how we can be citizens who contribute to solving problems in a world in turmoil. Possible paths.
