CONFERENCE: CASAIS SOS – CLINICAL PRACTICE WITH FAMILIES | NOVEMBER 11 | 18:30 | AUDITORIUM 1 AND ONLINE

11 Nov 2021 - 18:30

Love relationships do not have an instruction book and depend on numerous variables, and there is no magic recipe that can guarantee marital satisfaction. At the same time, we know that there are several fundamental ingredients beyond love, such as trust, respect, friendship and admiration. Ingredients that must be well mixed with values, beliefs and life goals.

Living as a couple is a huge challenge that requires numerous skills and availability for a daily investment on the part of the partners. Relationships have to be nurtured and pampered, with mutual care and dedication.

In a pandemic and confinement context, living together has become an added challenge. We asked the Portuguese about the impact of confinement on their relationship as a couple and the results reflect difficulties at various levels, which guided the topics covered in this book.

SOS Couples is a very practical book that aims to help couples improve their marital relationship. The proposed exercises promote moments of individual and joint reflection, approaching topics as diverse as the love and passion, intimacy and desire, communication, emotional expression, sexuality and conflict management.
