The documentary focuses on occurrences of rock art in the context of the caatinga landscape.
Located in the state of Piauí, in northeastern Brazil, deep in the sertão, the Serra da Capivara National Park is an area for the preservation of a complex ecosystem – the caatinga, an exclusively Brazilian biome – full of prehistoric remains, bringing together an important cultural heritage.
Its numerous archaeological sites are full of remnants, marks, artifacts and cave paintings, about which much is said and little is known.
The film proposes a contemplative experience centered on the landscape, its inhabitants and their ghosts, exposing rock art as documents that speak for themselves.
