The Autonomous University of Lisbon was distinguished with the Voluntary Quality Seal, promoted by CASES. It is a distinction from Higher Education institutions, for the work carried out in promoting the practice of Volunteering. This Quality Seal is intended to be a tool available to higher education institutions with the purpose of promoting volunteer activities, increasing the number of volunteers and, ultimately, promoting the full exercise of solidarity and citizenship.
The Public ceremony took place on December 5th at the Mafamude Parish Center, in Vila Nova de Gaia and representing the Autonomous Region were Professors Cláudia de Castro and João de Sousa
