Autonomous company attends DIVERSE Alliance meeting in Nuremberg

On January 14th and 15th, 2025, Ohm University in Nuremberg, Germany, hosted the DIVERSE Alliance meeting, with the participation of representatives from partner institutions, including the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL).

Autónoma was represented in person by Professor Luís Tomé, member of the Executive Board, and remotely by Telma Ruas, Carolina Peralta, Cristina Dias and Manuel Serejo, who participated in the sessions dedicated to their respective Working Groups – Research, Development and Innovation; Mobility; Communication; and Teaching and Learning. Isabel Silva and Sandra Ribeiro, from UAL's Internationalization team, were also present online.

During the meeting, the Reports of these four Working Groups were presented and analyzed, addressing the progress achieved since the last meeting, held at UAL in October 2024. The “Terms of Reference” and work plans of each group were also discussed, as well as challenges and opportunities, including the representation of institutions in the Working Groups, the visibility of the DIVERSE Alliance in partner universities and the articulation between its members.

In addition to the working sessions, the participants had the opportunity to be welcomed at Nuremberg City Hall. During the official reception, the Vice-Mayor and Councillor for Economic Affairs and Science, Thomas Winning, gave a presentation on the city's relationship with universities and its vision for Education, Science and Innovation.

With Autónoma's participation in this meeting, we reinforce our commitment to international academic cooperation and the development of initiatives within the scope of the DIVERSE Alliance.
