The Open Class entitled “Budget Legislative Process – Problems and Solutions” took place on December 7th at the Autonomous University of Lisbon.
The conference aimed to focus on the presentation of the budgetary process with regard to the size of public revenue and expenditure, in the midst of an increasingly uncertain international crisis, such as fluctuations in the prices of raw materials and the high potential risk of creation of barriers to international trade.
The Moderator present was António Duarte Santos, Professor at the Autonomous University of Lisbon and Member of the American Association (AEA) and the guest speaker was Rui Nuno Baleiras, Coordinator of the Technical Budget Support Unit (UTAO) of the Assembly of the Republic and Professor of Economics at Minho's university.
