Who can apply?

This special competition is aimed at candidates who wish to attend a 1st cycle higher education course or an Integrated Master's degree at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and covers students who, cumulatively:

  • Are not covered by the international student status, regulated by Decree-Law No. 36/2014, of March 10, amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 62/2018, of 6 August.
  • Do not hold a qualification to access higher education;
  • Complete 23 years of age by December 31st, the year before the exams;

 

Application Platform

Application submission for those over 23 is done online through the application platform.

The application process instruction is done by uploading the required documents. The delivery of the original documents is required at the time of registration.

Rules for carrying out assessment components

  1. The interview designed to assess the candidate's expectations and motivations lasts a minimum of ten and a maximum of twenty minutes.
  2. The written knowledge and skills assessment test lasts a maximum of ninety minutes.

 

Serial Criteria

The special competition for access to higher education for people over 23 years of age is an alternative for those who wish to enter higher education, but do not meet the requirements of the general access regime.

In this access regime, to the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, candidates are ranked for the respective courses through the attribution of a final application grade expressed in the range of 10-20 on the entire numerical scale of 0 to 20 values, calculated using the following weighting : 40% for the written test score, 30% for the interview and 30% for evaluating the candidate's CV.

  1. With the written cultural aptitude test, the aim is to assess:
  1. Understanding and expression in Portuguese. Candidates must demonstrate skills in reading, writing and interpreting texts;
  2. The cultural maturity of the candidates. This involves knowledge about society, history, literature and other relevant cultural aspects;
  3. Economic and social knowledge. This involves being aware of economic situations in the social context, both in Portugal and around the world. This may include understanding issues such as economics, politics, social inequalities and development.
  1. The interview aims to assess:
  1. Their maturity, motivation and commitment to continue their studies and face academic challenges;
  2. Professional experience and trajectory;
  3. Ability to express ideas clearly and coherently, as well as listen and respond appropriately to examiners' questions.
  1. The curriculum assessment component aims to evaluate:
  1. Working time, responsibility and relevance to the desired course;
  2. Previous academic training, even if not completed;
  3. Additional training such as participation in courses, workshops or other learning activities;
  4. Extracurricular activities, such as participation in groups, volunteering, or other activities that demonstrate relevant skills.

 

Enrollment and Registration

The placement only takes effect in the academic year to which it refers, meaning that the right to enroll and enroll in the establishment and study cycle in which the candidate was placed expires if it is not exercised within the set period.

 

Results

The results of each stage of the process should be consulted on the application platform.

 

Exclusion of candidates

Candidates who:

  1. They have not filled out their application form correctly, either because they omit some element, or because they indicate others that do not correspond to those contained in the documents delivered;
  2. Do not meet the conditions to submit to the competition;
  3. Have not completed the instruction of the respective processes within the due time;
  4. Make false statements.

Note: The application fee will not be refunded if the candidate is not selected.

 

Regulation Access for Over 23 Years Old

 

  1. Certificate of Qualifications;
  2. Updated Curriculum Vitae, indicating educational and professional background;
  3. Declaration of honor stating that you are not covered by international student status;
  4. Photocopy of the Tax Identification Card;
  5. For candidates who have taken the test at another higher education establishment and wish to apply to the Autonomous University, they must present, in addition to the previously required documents, a declaration issued by the Higher Education Establishment where they took the test, indicating the course to which they are applying. candidate, the indication of the tests and the final classification;
  6. Photocopy of the Identification Document.
