The Department of Communication Sciences of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and the Autónoma Academy will organize, on the 21st of June, the conference “Youth, Journalism and Politics”.
The conference seeks to reflect on the civic and political participation of young people and the role of journalism in the political and parliamentary context.
The event counts on the presence, in the opening session, of His Excellency, the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Augusto Santos Silva, and in the closing session of His Excellency, the Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Ana Catarina Mendes.
The initiative is part of the future launch of the first postgraduate degree in Political-Parliamentary Journalism, a pioneering project at the Academy that was postponed in 2020 because of the pandemic.
