The bilingual edition of Dissertation on the renewal of Lisbon, drawn up in 1755-56 by Manuel da Maia, Chief Engineer of the Kingdom and Chief Guard of Torre do Tombo, was valued for the contextualization of Maria Helena Ribeiro dos Santos, presenting the innovative theoretical contribution of the creative thought that structured and made the Lisbon Reconstruction Plan viable. The online publication of this text will allow for adequate dissemination of scientific knowledge at national and international level.
This important and innovative work on the history of the city of Lisbon will be presented by Doctor Architect Ferran Sagarra i Trias (Prof. Professor at the Escola Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona – ETSAB UPC), by Professor Miguel Figueira de Faria (DHAH_UAL) and by Professor Raquel Henriques da Silva (FCSH NOVA).
The presentation will feature other speakers, such as Fernando Rodrigues Martins and Maria Helena Ribeiro dos Santos.

Fernando Correia. Journalist, radio and television commentator, teacher, was born in 1935 and spent his childhood between Mouraria, Alto de Santo Amaro and São Domingos de Benfica. He joined Emissora Nacional in 1958. He then worked at RDP, Rádio Clube Português, Rádio Comercial and TSF. He was director of Diário Desportivo, editor and contributor to the newspapers Record, A Capital, O Diário, Gazeta dos Desportos, Jornal de Notícias and Diário Popular. He currently works for Rádio Amália and is a resident commentator for TVI. A committed Sporting player, he also collaborates with Sporting TV, after having been deputy director and director of the club's newspaper. He is married, father of five children and grandfather of ten grandchildren. Born on a hot summer day, he is a crab by sign. In Guerra e Paz, he published the books Piso 3 – Quarto 313, The Man Who Didn't Have Age, Moniz Pereira: Vida e Obra do Senhor Atletismo, E Se Eu Fosse Deus? and What I Know About Me.
