He concluded his PhD in Informatics, in December 2013, at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

His research was funded by an individual doctoral grant awarded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. As part of the PhD, he did an internship at Telefónica Research, in Barcelona.

His research interests are human-computer interaction, pervasive games, mobile games, casual games and educational games.
