On February 9th and 10th, a meeting of the Erasmus Mundus joint Master's Programme consortium "International Business and Geopolitics" took place

On February 9 and 10, 2026, the Autónoma University of Lisbon hosted a Partners Meeting of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme in International Business and Geopolitics (EMDI BAG), that took place at the Condes de Redondo Palace.

The event brought together international partners of the consortium, from nine higher education institutions across eight countries, including Portugal, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Finland, Romania, Lithuania, and China (Macau).

The two intense days of work, discussions, and exchange of ideas, were aimed at approving and finalizing all the documentation of the Joint Master Programme, which is be submitted for a European-level accreditation in early April 2026.

UAL has played a key role in the consortium, as one of the partners that will act a hosting university, and one of the three degree-awarding institutions.

The institution was represented in person by Luís Tomé, Telma Ruas, Sandra Ribeiro, Ekaterina Gorbunova, Vasco Marques, and Pedro Santos.

UAL’s participation in this new Joint Master Programme reinforces its commitment to internationalization and cooperation in the field of higher education.
