Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa was present at the high-level strategic meeting of the European Universities Alliance DIVERSE, which took place in Istanbul on May 28, 2025. The institution was represented by Professor Luís Tomé, Director of the Department of International Relations.

The meeting brought together academic leaders and institutional representatives from partner universities, with the central moment being the joint signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which reinforces the shared commitment to European cooperation in higher education.

During the session, the benefits already achieved under the alliance were highlighted, such as increased academic mobility, access to competitive funding and the strengthening of institutional reputation at European level. The working groups in the areas of Research, Education and Mobility also presented the results obtained and the strategic objectives for the next phase of DIVERSE.

Autónoma's participation in this meeting reinforces its active role in building a more integrated, innovative and collaborative European university.
